I made this the other day using plain TVP instead of Ground Beef.
- 3-5 large Potatoes, peeled and thin sliced
- 1 medium Onion, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 pound of Ground Beef or 2-3 servings of TVP, cooked
- Garlic Powder
- 1-2 cans of Cream of Mushroom soup, Undiluted
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Cheese**
- Peel and Cut your Vegetables, based on the size of the dish you are using you will need more/less of the recipe. (for my wife and I we used 3 potatoes)
- Using Pan spray coat the baking dish you are using
- layer the Potatoes, onion, and Meat (TVP) in alternate layers
- season to taste with Garlic, Salt, and Pepper
- Pour the soup over the layers
- add grated cheese(optional)
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.
- This freezes well and makes a good Lunch
